kamikazeaquafan_1.jpgAquafan is a famous water park in Riccione which, since 1987, has been able to gain a prominent position among Italian amusement parks thanks to its attractions and entertainment, and because of the many celebrities who perform on Aquafan’s stage, and the unpredictable surprises which annually attract an increasingly number of visitors.

Attractions
Aquafan offers a wide variety of water rides designed to appeal to visitors of all ages and preferences. Fearless teenagers and adults looking for some adrenaline rush will surely enjoy sliding down the famous Kamikaze water slide featuring two runways, each 90 metres long, at a speed of 65 km/h. Those who are not afraid of heights can try the high Slides (200 metres) and the River Run, an equally long slide which visitors descend aboard super fast inflatable rubber dinghies. There are more thrills on offer with the breathtaking Twist, a fun 130-metre-long slide with three transparent tubes that twist and spiral around each other and whizzes you down at a speed of 60 km/h. Without forgetting Aquafan’s brand new attraction, the Speedriul, a 21-metre-long tube slide that halfway down opens onto a funnel roundabout that leads into another tube and slides you down at a speed of 70 km/h.

Aquafan also features a special kid’s zone called Cartoon Network beach, with members of staff ready to entertain children of all ages by involving them with fun and safe games.
One of the attractions located in this part of the park is Noah’s Ark which children can safely climb to explore the  speedriulaquafan.jpgthousands of cute animals aboard and then slide down through one of the 4 blue slides directly into the children’s pool.

The Elephant swimming pool is ideal for small children as it is only 50 cm deep and features three small slides that come out of the pink elephant’s belly. Cheerful splashes of water come out of the elephant. Finally, the Antarctic Baby beach where children can play and have fun under the watchful eye of the white bear.

Swimming pools and relaxation
Even those who choose to go to Aquafan to spend a relaxing day enjoying the sun and water in a more quiet way will be able to choose among many leisurely activities: you can hop on a rubber dinghy and let the gentle current of the Slow river carry you away or take a cool dip and swim in the large central swimming pool known as the Wave pool, because every hour small and pleasant waves are created artificially and gradually. Or simply relax in the large Poseidon whirlpool tubs.

Twice a day, the Wave pool hosts the entertaining Aquadance during which dancers and the speaker engage swimmers in a wild and energetic dance with choreographies inspired by the biggest music hits of the summer.

Sportsmen and women will be happy to hear that Aquafan also has a Football field where they can play friendly matches. Those who are tired of lying down in the sun can stroll along the park’s green and shady paths to admire the colours and scents of the more than 10,000 plants that surround the park, from exotic palm trees to various flowers and typical local olive trees.

Aquafan opens every year on the first days of June and closes on the second Sunday of September. During this period, the water park is open every day from 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Evening shows and concerts are held in Aquafan’s nightclub, followed by dance music which will make you dance until late at night.
