Zone is a small municipality which is situated in the province of Brescia, a short distance from the eastern shores of Lake Iseo. The morainal rocks of the surrounding area, which have been hollowed out by rain water for thousand years now, have turned into curious 30-metre-high rock formations which are topped by huge boulders. A short distance from the pyramids is the church of St. Giorgio, Zone's ancient parish church which dates back to the XII century. The whole area surrounding Zone, which can be covered both on foot and by mountain bike, is peppered with ancient churches and outstanding monuments, which attract the lovers of geology and those interested in discovering the local art and crafts.
