The Duomo was built in a robust Romanesque-Gothic style.

The so-called Buonconsiglio Castle is part of the defences of the town and is still encircled by thick walls and low towers. Built in the 13th century, it was later enlarged with additional buildings, such as Torre Grande, Castelvecchio, Giunta Albertina and Magno Palazzo. Its fine rooms, now the setting for the Provincial Museum of Art, contain paintings, ceramics and 15th-century wood carvings, as well as prehistoric, Etruscan and Roman finds.
Walking down the streets of the old town, a short distance from Trento's railway station, visitors will have the opportunity to visit the lush public gardens, which host the nineteenth-century Dante's monument.
The city's Belvedere, which is easily accessible from Ponte San Lorenzo through a dedicated cableway, offers guests the possibility to enjoy breathtaking views over the surrounding natural landscapes.
