Not to be missed are the ruins of the Castle, of which only two leaning towers, the impressive and embattled Donà Tower and Mozzata Towers, remain.
To visit Rovigo and the surrounding Polesine area gives people the possibility to admire fine aristocratic residences dating back to the early ‘500, when the area enjoyed great prosperity for about three centuries. Such a period is known as the “phenomenon” of the Polesine Villas, due to the high number of aristocratic residences commissioned by rich Venetians and Emilians along the banks of the river Po.
