Varedo is a small municipality of Brianza which is situated few kilometres west of Monza and 16 kilometres north of Milan. Its flat landscape is crossed by the enchanting stream Seveso.

The development of an important environmental project, which joined the efforts of six Lombard municipalities including Varedo, resulted in the creation of Park Grugnotorto, a lush green area which is crossed by Villoresi Canal and peppered with vast cultivated fields, ancient rural villas, thick woods and important historical buildings, such as Villa Bagatti Valsecchi. On the occasions it is open to the general public, it gives visitors the possibility to admire its sumptuous interiors, which are furnished with precious period furniture and prestigious artworks of great value. This enchanting protected territory, which is completely crossed by long cycle paths, also cherishes the famous Bello di Varedo Wood.
