Tuoro sul Trasimeno is a small city which develops along the northern shores of Lake Trasimeno, in the province of Perugia. Famous all over the world as the place of the battle between the Roman Army and the Carthaginians headed by Hannibal, it is now a quiet tourist resort which attracts both the lovers of nature and large numbers of sportsmen.

Not to be missed are the nineteenth-century Guglielmi Castle, which boasts breathtaking views over the lake, and the Parish Church of Confine, which dates back to the XII century. Tourists won't miss the opportunity to attend the traditional so-called Tiro della Biga, which takes place every year in August. The four districts of the city compete in challenging contests which are aimed at celebrating the famous battle which took place here between the Romans and the Carthaginians.
