The building, which was erected between 1778 and 1781 over the remains of the ancient parish church, boasts an elegant Baroque facade and is flanked by a high Renaissance bell tower dating back to the mid XVI century.
Not to be missed is Pressicce's Ducal Palace, which was originally built as a defensive bulwark but was subsequently remodelled several times in the course of the past centuries. It boasts neo-Gothic merlons, elegant Renaissance windows and a wide western loggia which is embellished by flourishing terraced gardens. Today the Palace is home to the Museum of the Peasant Society, which is subdivided into four theme halls gathering a wide range of agricultural tools and farm equipment. One of the city's most representative military architectures is the so-called Casa Turrita, which dates back to the mid XVI century. This tower, which has recently been turned into a private residence, still retains the original diamond rustication and some typical architectural elements, such as hidden machicolations and secret loopholes.
