The small municipality of Pioltello is situated 6.5 kilometres far from Milan. The Church of St. Andrea is one of the most prestigious buildings in north-east Milan. It is an eigtheenth-century temple which gathers precious frescoes, a sumptuous High Altar, a beautiful nineteenth-century organ and the charming Chapels of the Rosary and of St. Francesco di Paola.
Not to be missed are the Church of Immacolata and its precious portal, which date back to 1748. It was commissioned by Elisabetta Giulia Ferrario Stoppani, who wanted to realize a chapel for her family. The beautiful Church of St. Giorgio cherishes the eighteenth-century shrines which ornate the altar, a beautiful nineteenth-century organ, a big fourteenth-century crucifix and an imposing wooden sculpture depicting the Madonna.
