The most beautiful site of the surrounding area is the island of St. Giulio, that gathers sumptuous villas and stately homes, lush gardens and a former seminary. The whole island is dominated by the Romanesque Basilica of St. Giulio, that is one of the most important medieval monuments in Northern Italy.
