Montano Lucino, a small municipality which is situated south of Como, is idyllically set just in the heart of a lush territory which is covered with thick woods and green meadows. The single municipalities of Montano and Lucino merged in 1928, but they still retain their original characteristics, Lucino being the industrial area and Montano the residential one.

Not to be missed are Villa Carabba, Villa Luzzani and Palazzo Tatti in Montano, the latter being an important reception centre.
A short distance from Montano Lucino is the Sanctuary of Madonna delle Grazie, whose main entrance is situated just in the heart of a side wall. It dates back to 1359, but has recently undergone extensive renovation works.
