Molina di Ledro is an enchanting lake resort situated on the eastern edge of Val di Ledro, just in the heart of Trentino-Alto Adige. The ancient district of Verdesina, which is situated just in the heart of Molina di Ledro, cherishes some twentieth-century houses which still retain the traditional architectural patterns of the area. Here is a representative sacred building too, that is to say the Church of St. Francesco di Paola, which dates back to 1628. Among the most appreciated places of interest are the Church of St. Vigilio, which was realized in the XVIII-century and is easily accessible from the central Piazza Roma through a majestic granite staircase, and Casa Zecchini, the native house of Andrea Maffei, who was born in Ledro in 1798. The narrow streets of the city centre are also embellished by two impressive wall frescoes, the former, which dates back to 1730, situated in via Maffei and the latter situated next to the historical Brighenti mill.
Molina's most representative attractions are the remains of ancient  lake dwellings dating back to the Bronze Age. The Pile Museum contains the most important finds which were unearthed along the southern shore of the lake.
During summer, tourists flock to the nearby resort of Besta, whose well-groomed beach overlooks the crystal-clear waters of Lake Ledro.
