Maniago is a small municipality of the province of Pordenone which develops just in the heart of the hinterland of Friuli Venezia Giulia. Its city centre rises 283 metres above sea level, and nestles on the slopes of Mount Jôf. A city of ancient origins, it is famous all over the world for its cutlery factories. This activity derives from iron manufacturing, which has been carried out by local inhabitants since the Middle Ages.
