Madonna di Campiglio is a famous winter resort situated in the province of Trento. The city centre is idyllically set just in the heart of Alta Val Rendena, halfway between the Brenta Dolomites and Mount Adamello, and rises at an altitude of 1.522 metres above sea level.

Madonna di Campiglio has long been the traditional holiday destination of important personalities, such as Empress of Austria Sissi, to whom the annual event “Campiglio Asburgica” is dedicated, and of numerous VIPs who every year flock to its beautiful ski slopes. The city gathers a remarkably wide array of accommodation facilities, such as hotels situated along the major slopes and charming guesthouses belonging to any price category. The tourist offer of this lively centre is complemented by comfortable residences and intimate shelters.

Both ski slopes and snowparks are situated just above the city centre and are easily accessible through modern ski-lift facilities. Among the most renowned slopes are 3-Tre, which every year hosts the giant slalom competitions of the World Championships of Alpine skiing, and Spinale direttissima. The skiarea of Madonna di Campiglio, Pinzolo Val Rendana, Folgarida and Marilleva attracts large numbers of both expert skiers and beginners. It extends across 120 kilometres of snow-capped slopes and is served by 25 ski-lift facilities.
Apart  from modern ski slopes, this natural oasis also gives tourists the possibility to go snowshoeing and climbing, as well as to explore targeted itineraries dedicated to Alpine skiing and to ice-skate in the lake. The nearby resort of Campo Carlo Magno hosts a large cross-country trail which extends for 15 kilometres.
During spring, tourists will have the possibility to enjoy paragliding, cycle across rough itineraries or go trekking along wild footpaths leading to enchanting natural oases, such as Sentiero dei Siori, Via dei Fevri, Adamello-Brenta Natural Park and further lovely resorts.
The city centre is scattered with trendy clubs, excellent restaurants and glamorous boutiques; all year round, traditional local festivals, interesting art exhibitions and absorbing cultural activities attract large numbers of curious visitors.
