Laces (German: Latsch) is a small municipality situated in the province of Bolzano. Idyllically set amongst the glorious landscapes of Val Venosta, it is surrounded by Alto Adige's famous orchards, parks and resorts, such as the pretty village of Merano, which is situated only 25 kilometres far from it, and the huge Stelvio National Park.

Worthy of note are the XII-century church of St. Pietro and Paolo, whose interior is sumptuously decorated with inestimable works of art, and the church of St. Maria del Colle, which was consecrated in 1020 and now features a fascinating mixture of architectural styles ranging from Romanesque to Baroque. Not to be missed is the triptych cherished by the church of St. Spirito, a sumptuous sacred building which also hosts further impressive masterpieces.
Sports lovers will have the possibility to keep fit even on holiday. Expert skiers will enjoy the snow-covered slopes of Cima Marmotta, Mount Cevedale, Punta di Lasa or Gran Ladro. In summer, they will have the possibility to ski along the slopes of the impressive glaciers of Senales and Stelvio. Cross-country trails are also found in the nearby Val Martello, while Lace's well-equipped sports centre offers holidaymakers the possibility to perform a remarkably wide array of different activities. The most daring ones can experience rock-climbing, which is largerly performed across cima Vermoi, or rafting, which can be carried out inside specialized centres. The less daring people will have the opportunity to relax and experience a closer touch with nature while walking or cycling across Val Venosta's orchards or the protected areas of Stelvio National Park.
