The fascinating medieval town of Gradara is situated in the province of Pesaro-Urbino. All year round, the Castle stages interesting events and cultural opportunities, which are able to attract large numbers of tourists.The most popular summer event is the so-called  “Assedio al Castello” (Siege of the Castle), an historical recollection gathering more than 150 participants which stages the terrible vicissitudes experienced by local inhabitants during the Siege of 1446. In winter (from December 8, and every subsequent Sunday up to January 6), tourists will have the opportunity to visit the so-called “Christmas Castle”, which gathers funny children's labs, interesting guided tours, exciting shows and medieval dances. This period of involving initiatives and events culminates on January 6, when the castle stages the adoration of the Magi. On the occasion of St. Valentine's Day, Gradara gives couples the possibility to spend a romantic weekend here.
Another important place of interest is the city's Historical Museum. Founded in 1986, it contains precious documents and important evidences of the past. The museum also gathers a rich collection of weapons and torture machines, as well as a precious collection which gathers incredible scale reproductions of Roman launchers, which is the only of its kind in Italy.  
The imposing city walls give guests the possibility to enjoy breathtaking views over the underlying landscapes and the ancient medieval village. Gradara also boasts the ancient so-called  Garden of Olive Groves: Gradara's oil is one of the most appreciated local staples of the surrounding area. The local restaurants give tourists the possibility to taste traditional local specialities, such as the popular “tagliolini con la bomba”.
