Gazzada Schianno gathers four important sacred buildings; the oldest church, which is situated just in the heart of the ancient village, is that of St. Cosma and Damiano, which was erected before the year 1000 and decorated with precious frescos dating back to the XV and the XVI century. The chapel of Assunta and the spledid frescos it contains were concluded towards the end of the fifteenth century, while the church of St. Giorgio and the church of St. Croce, which are both richly frescoed, date back to the following century.
