Fiera di Primiero is the administrative and economic centre of Primiero Valley. It is situated at the eastern edge of Trentino, on the slopes of Pale di San Martino, and its territory develops across 0.15 km² only, which makes Fiera di Primero the smallest municipality in Italy.

Fiera's city centre is scattered with outstanding places of interest, such as the church of Madonna dell’Assunta, which is regarded to be one of the most representative Gothic architectures in Trentino. Inside are a carved polyptych dating back to 1465 and a large fresco of great value. Other interesting buildings are the XI-century Romanesque church of St. Martino and Palazzo del Dazio delle Miniere, whose facade is characterized by double lancet windows and bulges which drew inspiration from the late-Gothic architectural style from Austria.
