Other sites worthy of mention are the beautiful Church of Annunziata, that boasts a Baroque facade and a fifteenth-century interior, and the local parish church, that was erected in the early seventeenth century. The lovers of art and culture won't miss the opportunity to visit the Romanesque Church of St. Secondo, that still retains its original aspect and was declared national monument in 1880.
Cortanze is livened up by funny events and genuine traditions. Every year in the week of August 15, the popular Festival of agnolotto and grilled meat is traditionally held here. Visitors won't miss the opportunity to taste the fine wines of the surrounding area, such as bonarda, grignolino and moscato, as well as to visit the so-called “crutin”, a peculiar tufa cave where the best wine bottles are stored.
