The Parish Church of St. Prospero, which was erected in the XI century on the top of the local hill, boasts great historical and artistic value. This majestic Romanesque-Lombard building, whose interior has a nave and two aisles, boasts an imposing Bronze portal decorated with splendid bas-reliefs depicting religious subjects. The most important monument cherished by the church is its beautiful Romanesque font dating back to the XII century. Not to be missed is the Oratory of Beata Vergine di Loreto, that was erected around 1709. This prestigious quadrangular Baroque building has a nave and two aisles, that are separated by two rows of Doric columns.
Walking down the footpaths of the enchanting Nevicati municipal park, visitors will have the possibility to admire the nineteenth-century Villa Meli Lupi di Soragna. The facade of this sumptuous dice-shaped building is embellished by a beautiful portico formed by small columns that are surmounted by a splendid terrace. One of the city's most prestigious civic architectural structures is the eighteenth-century Villa Paveri Fontana, that is located at the entrance of the city. This Neoclassical palace is surmounted by a central tower provided with oval single lancet windows, and it is surrounded by a splendid park dominated by a monumental Baroque arch, the so-called Bargello Arch.
