The outer part is decorated with black and white marble according to the typical architectural canons of the Tuscan-Romanesque style. The splendid entrance portal is surmounted by a beautiful sculpted capital depicting bovines that symbolize the legend of the foundation of the church. Its interior hosts the splendid fresco cycle of the apse.
Codrongianos is scattered with numerous archaeological sites dating back to the Nuraghic period, such as the famous complex of Nuraghe Nieddu. Surrounded by a glorious countryside, it gives tourists the possibility to taste excellent local staples from the surrounding area, such as fine wines, genuine olive oil and robust cheeses. Not to be missed is the tour of the beautiful Romanesque Church of St. Michele di Salvenero.
