Cisano Bergamasco is a small Lombard municipality situated in the province of Bergamo, just in the heart of San Martino Valley. The hilly landscape of Cisano Bergamasco is crossed by several waterways, such as the river Adda, which marks the boundary of Cisano's municipality, and plenty of further crystal-clear streams.

The most representative landmark of Cisano Bergamasco is its medieval castle, which is flanked by an imposing tower which gazes across the city centre from on high. Note the medieval church of St. Zenone, which was built in the XI century and still retains its original fascination. In the twentieth century, a new parish church dedicated to St. Zenone, the patron saint, was built a short distance from the older one: its interior cherishes outstanding works of art which once belonged to the original building.
Worthy of mention is the church of St. Gregorio, which is situated on the slopes of a gentle hill rising just in the heart of the homonymous hamlet. Note the bell tower of the church, which draws inspiration from an ancient medieval tower. Not to be missed is the church of St. Stefano in the lovely hamlet of Villasola, whose interior cherishes precious artworks of great value.
