The small municipality of Caponago is included in the province of Monza – Brianza and is situated only 11 kilometres far from Milan. Its flat territory extends along the right banks of the stream Molgora.

Caponago's most representative sacred building is the Parish Church of St. Giuliana, which boasts an ellipse-shaped plan which was typical of the XVII and XVIII centuries. It still retains some outstanding decorations which drew inspiration from Germanic architecture, as well as nineteenth-century frescoes by the famous painter Antonio De Grada. Furthermore, it cherishes a precious organ which dates back to 1768. Not to be missed is the small Church of St. Giorgio, a single-nave brick structure which is covered by a pitched roof. It is flanked by an impressive bell tower, which contains some ancient tombs. Tourists won't miss the opportunity to visit the eighteenth-century Villa Simonetta, which is surrounded by a beautiful Italian-style garden and embellished by an impressive Moorish portal, and Villa Prata, which was built in the eighteenth century and is now the seat of the local municipality.
