Situated in the southernmost part of Lombardy, Brallo di Pregola is a cosy municipality of the province of Pavia with a population of 776 inhabitants. It is located a short distance from the famous Brallo Pass, which connects the Lombard Staffiora Valley with the Emilian Val Trebbia.

Brallo di Pregola is surrounded by flourishing landscapes and a lush vegetation. The whole territory is encircled by thick beechwoods and pinewood forests, hazels, chestnut woods and lush meadows which boast breathtaking views over the Alps. Apart from cherishing outstanding natural beauties, the surrounding area is also scattered with important buildings and monuments of great historic-artistic value.
The cosy hamlet of Pregola, for example, is home to the XVII-century Parish Church of St. Agata Vergine e Martire, which is characterized by an imposing brick structure and a peculiar bell tower. The tiny resort of Colleri hosts the Romanesque stone parish church of St. Innocenzo, whose interior cherishes a sumptuous marble altar.
Corbesassi's church, which was built in 1690, cherishes a precious fresco by the painter Sebastiano Toselli. The Neoclassical Church of St. Fermo in Barostro has one single nave, and still retains its original fascination because of the extensive renovation works which were carried out here.
