Borno is a small municipality and famous winter resort situated in the province of Brescia. It is idyllically set between Sole Plateau and Scelve Valley, just in the heart of a privileged panoramic position overlooking the underlying valley. Dominated by the eastern peaks of the Bergamo Prealps, its old town rises at an altitude of 900 metres above sea level, while the highest point is Pizzo Camino (2492 metres above sea level).

Borno's old town gathers numerous hotels belonging to different categories which welcome large numbers of tourists, nature enthusiasts and sportsmen all year round. Borno's guesthouses propose interesting packages to spend pleasant winter holiday weeks or summer stays together with the whole family. Not to be missed are charming residences and shelters, which are situated a short distance from the ski slopes of Borno-Monte Altissimo district.

Borno-Monte Altissimo ski district develops just in the heart of an enchanting natural setting gathering thick woods and wonderful landscapes. The lovers of snow will have the opportunity to take advantage of the exciting Alpine skiing slopes which depart from Borno and cross mule tracks and ancient footpaths before reaching fascinating shelters. Halfway between Pizzo Camino and Mount Mignone is Lake Lova, which can be reached from Borno's city centre through an exciting path.
Worthy of mention is the parish church of St. Martino and St. John the Baptist, an impressive building which was erected in the XI century but was subsequently remodelled in the XVIII century. To the right is the Oratory of St. Antonio, which was realized in the fifteenth century and still retains precious frescoes by Callisto Piazza. Among the oldest buildings, not to be missed is the small church of St. Fiorinio, which dates back to the IX century.
