Artogne is a small municipality situated 45 kilometres north of Brescia, along the south-eastern border of Val Camonica and a short distance from Lake Iseo. The municipal territory extends between Mount Muffetto, which rises 2.060 metres above sea level, and the left bank of the river Oglio, while the city centre develops just in the heart of the valley, at an altitude of 260 metres above sea level.

Outstanding monuments and enchanting environmental settings attract large numbers of tourists all year round. The pivotal point of the vast area is the famous ski resort of Montecampione, which extends halfway between Artogne and Pian Camuno.
