Alfedena, situated in the province of L’Aquila, is a renowned summer health resort overlooking the banks of rio Torto. Its territory is included in the mountain district of Alto Sangro and Cinquemiglia, which is part of the National Park of  Abruzzo, Latium and Molise.

The lovers of winter sports will have the opportunity to take advantage of the well-equipped cross-country skiing track of the nearby hamlet of Campitelli.
