Situated along the ancient road which crossed the Apennines, the province of Arezzo borders the Marches and Emilia-Romagna. An ancient Etruscan centre, Arezzo is one of the most appreciated artistic cities in Tuscany and Italy. It is scattered with precious evidences which testify to the previous foundation of ancient settlements. Among these, the Etruscan Chimera, a bronze statue featuring utmost historic-artistic value, and the well-preserved Roman amphitheatre.

Arezzo is also peppered with sumptuous medieval and Renaissance churches and prestigious buildings which cherish outstanding works of art by Cimabue, Vasari, Piero della Francesca and further illustrious artists. Walking down the streets of the city centre, visitors will have the opportunity to admire sumptuous Renaissances palaces and squares which bear witness to the golden age the city experienced during that period.
