Mirabilandia, funfairs in Ravenna

Mirabilandia is one of the largest and most appreciated funfairs in Europe. Inaugurated in 1992, it rises along the Statale Adriatica in Savio, a small hamlet situated south of Ravenna.
It is easily accessible by car through the E45 clearway and is situated only 3 kilometres far from the railway station of Lido di Classe – Lido di Savio. Free shuttle buses connect the park with the station.

Eurowheel (90m), the largest Ferris wheel in the world, is the symbol of the park and dominates it, thus making it easily recognizable from the road; lit by thousands of lights, this attraction provides an outstanding view over the surrounding landscape.

Surrounded by a lush vegetation, MIrabilandia is the ideal destination to spend funny moments together with the whole family. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy both fun and relax in the different sections of the park, as well as to take advantage of high-quality services and facilities provided by skilled and kind employees. Among the most interesting attractions are the most famous free fall towers in Italy, Columbia & Discovery: in the former, passengers, who are situated on a cart which reaches the height of 65 metres, are shot from the bottom upwards at an incredible speed; in the latter, the path is inverse and shoots people from the top backwards. Not to be missed are the reproductions of outstanding natural sceneries, such as the Polynesian canoes which sail along erupting volcanos and the Niagara and Rio Bravo waterfalls, exciting water paths to be covered on board special rubber dinghies which provide both adults and children unforgettable emotions.

The most daring won't miss the opportunity to experience Katun, the fastest and longest rollercoaster in Europe and the third longest in the world. Its path winds along outstanding reproductions of Maya pre-Columbian ruins and ensures people thrilling emotions.

Mirabilandia also boasts plenty of further attractions, as well as a special area dedicated to children, the so-called Bimbopoli.

Not to be missed are the numerous shows arranged in several areas of the funfair. Among the most famous ones are the pursuits of Scuola di polizia (Police Academy), an appreciated stuntman show which draws inspiration from the homonymous saga, the duels of the old west, the night Laser Night Show based on lights, sprinklings of water, laser rays, artificial fog, techno music and fireworks, and the acrobatic dives performed during Italian Baywatch.
Even refreshment booths are arranged in such a way to suit the needs of the theme area they are situated in; among the most characteristic ones are Locanda del Faro (Lighthouse Inn), built in a piratical style, Sombrero, which serves Mexican specialities, and Drive In, which draws inspiration from the American fashion of the 50s. Since 2003, the funfair has been flanked by a large aqua park, Mirabilandia Beach, which gathers artificial beaches, water attractions, chutes and swimming pools which help tourist alleviate the suffocating summer heat.

Mirabilandia is open from April to mid October, when the lidos of Ravenna and the beaches of the Riviera Romagnola offer tourists outstanding opportunities to spend their holidays here.
