Aquafan, aqua park Riccione, funfairs Riviera Romagnola
Aquafan is the famous aqua park situated in Riccione, which has stood out as one of the most important funfairs in Italy since 1987 for the amazing attractions and entertainment activities it boasts, the celebrities and VIPs who perform on its stage and the exciting events which attract thousands of tourists every year. Attractions
The park hosts a wide range of water attractions which are designed to entertain both teenagers and adults. The oldest and most famous one is Kamikaze water chute, made up of two 90-metre-long chutes to be covered at a speed of 65 km/h. Those who do not suffer from vertigo can enjoy High Chutes (200 metres) and River Run, to be covered on board fast rubber dinghies. Another breathtaking attraction is Twist, three interwoven 130-metre-long transparent chutes to be covered at a speed of 60 km/h. The most daring people can experience the brand new attraction, Speedriul, 21-metre-long interwoven giant pipes and funnels to be covered at a speed of 70 km/h.
Aquafan also suits the needs of children offering them the opportunity to take advantage of a special area called Cartoon Network beach, where skilled employees entertain children involving them in safe and funny games. One of the funniest attractions of this area is Noah's Ark, which can be climbed in total safety to explore the funny animals it hosts and then go down by means of 4 light blue chutes which lead to the children's swimming pool.
Little children can enjoy the so-called Elephant Swimming pool, which is only 50 cm deep and equipped with three small chutes which come out from the belly of the funny pink elephant.
The trunk of the funny animal continuously sprays funny sprinklings of water. Not to be missed is the Antartic Baby beach, which is dominated by an impressive white bear offering children utmost entertainment.Swimming pools and relax
People flocking to Aquafan can spend relaxing days enjoying the sun and sea, as well as the numerous attractions it hosts: the Slow-moving river gives them the opportunity to let themselves be carried from the current on board special rubber dinghies, as well as to swim in the large central Wave pool which is automatically equipped with small artificial waves.
Twice a day, the wave pool hosts Aquadance lessons, during which both speakers and dancers involve bathers in absorbing dances and design special choreographies based on the summer greatest hits.
Aquafan is also equipped with a Football pitch which gathers people looking for exciting matches, as
well as with naturalistic paths across the park which give tourists the possibility to enjoy the colours and fragrances of over 10.000 plants ranging from exotic palm trees to local flowers and olive trees. Every year, Aquafan opens on June 2 and closes on the second Sunday of September; the park is open every day from 10.00 to 18.30, while evening shows and concerts are performed in the nearby disco which gives tourists the possibility to run wild till late at night.
